We get it. There are a lot of people out there with fantasy advice, and most if it is free or cheap—so why should you pay for an ETR subscription? Because nobody grinds like we do. Our team features world-class fantasy analysts, data scientists, and professional fantasy & DFS players that are simply unmatched. This is our life’s work, and for many of us, has been for approaching two decades.
At a high level, our job is to predict how every player in every game will perform so you can compete and win. Much of this is a hardcore “data” problem. For each game we’re adjusting target share projections, yards per route run, pace, and dozens of other metrics that together form the best player projections in the business.
But we understand that while data is important, it isn’t everything. This is a game played by humans. Coaching decisions, injuries, and many other more subjective factors are incorporated into our analysis.
Your time is valuable. You don’t have time to read, watch, and listen to everything. Plus, how do you distinguish between what’s worth paying attention to and what’s just noise? This is our job.
Consider us your personal coach for fantasy football—helping you maximize your time and leverage to win more leagues and take down more contests.
But let's be clear: this isn't for everyone. Fantasy football is a casual hobby for most people. The majority of players don't take fantasy all that seriously; they draft with little to no prep, set their lineup Sunday morning, and just hope for the best. If that’s you, that’s totally fine and we wish you good luck. There is a select segment of sickos willing to pay for the best fantasy football content… which is exactly why our subscribers tend to win.

Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles
The standout game of the late Sunday window has obvious powder keg potential, along with an underlying ability to blow up in our face. The last time these rivals met late last season, they produced a combined 141 snaps and 74 total points. Dak Prescott has averaged 293 yards and 3.7 touchdowns in his past three Eagles matchups. The Cowboys are throwing more than last year on a situation-neutral basis and are sixth in pass rate over expected. They are not, however, playing fast, and it’s shown up in the play volume. A 65% pass rate (sixth) is light-years beyond 2022’s 52% clip (25th). Yet, a situation-neutral pace that’s dropped from second fastest to ninth — along with falling from fifth to 25th in pace while up at least a touchdown — has turned Dallas from tempo pushers into occasional clock grinders. As field-goal road underdogs, however, we shouldn’t be overly worried about another wonky Cowboys game script conspiring to crush play volume.
A closer-than-expected contest in Washington had the Eagles throwing more on Sunday (66%) than before Week 8 (57%; 20th). They still weren’t moving nearly as fast as last year, turning in the 24th-quickest pace of the week after finishing first a season ago. Yet, with 131 combined snaps and 69 total points, an Eagles game again displayed its cathedral ceiling when the offense is unable to actively drain clock. Philadelphia’s contests now average the sixth-most combined snaps (128.5) and fifth-most total points (49.5) on the season. Like the Cowboys, they are top six in scoring on a per-snap basis, and both teams’ games rank top four in total explosive play rate over the last month. With a pair of talented offensive lines theoretically able to counter top-four-graded pass rushes, all this matchup needs is a back-and-forth script and some play volume to pop for fantasy.

SNAPS & PACE PREVIEW
PASS RATE OVER EXPECTATION
Indianapolis Colts
Awakening from a 4-win fever dream featuring head coach Jeff Saturday, the Colts were legitimately fun for fantasy in 2023. They’re just getting started. Not only did Shane Steichen’s offense immediately bear fruit — averaging 7.3 more points per game during Anthony Richardson’s four opening-month starts — it moved like they got a hold of Jim Irsay’s coke spoon. Indianapolis ranked first in both situation-neutral pace and no-huddle rate with Richardson at the helm. Colts contests produced the ninth-most total points (49) and averaged a league high in combined plays (134.3).
To earn fantasy points, a player's team has to run a play. So, more plays = more fantasy point opportunities. While pace is not the only factor we want to consider — and slow teams like the 49ers and Dolphins produce mountains of fantasy goodness — we generally want to target fast offenses and the outsized opportunities they provide.
Similarly, knowing whether a team is likely to air it out or #EstablishIt on the ground has massive fantasy implications—especially in the red zone. Your subscription comes with Pass Rate Over Expectation (The rate at which teams pass more or less than expected in a given situation) for both overall and the red zone, giving you more context for things like play calling, pass attempts, targets, carries, and potential touchdowns.
Of course you'd like to have players in elite offenses like the 49ers, Dolphins, Lions, and Eagles, but what about the other teams? What is the outlook for the Bears offense this year? How bout the Packers? How do we think their coordinators will call their plays on offense? We equip you with this knowledge to help you make better decisions on tough calls—which teams to be bullish on and which to be more bearish.
LATE ROUND RB TARGETS
Dontayvion Wicks (WR, GB, $2) – Wicks was legitimately one of the most efficient wide receivers in football as a rookie and can be had on the cheap. The problem is Green Bay figures to rotate 4-5 WRs, but perhaps Wicks plays so well that he forces their hand. He could also smash ADP if any of Christian Watson (who has a lengthy injury history), Jayden Reed, or Romeo Doubs get hurt.
Jaylen Warren has one of the best pass-catching roles of any RB in the league and will likely open the season catching passes from Russell Wilson, whose Denver Broncos easily led the NFL with a monstrous 32.1% target share to RBs last season. Plus, Warren is an elite handcuff if Najee Harris misses time. The additions of Wilson and Justin Fields at least inspire some optimism that the Steelers’ O can be better than the Kenny Pickett-engineered attack of 2023.
CHEAP AUCTION VALUES
Malik Nabers (LSU)
Height: 72.3 inches
Weight: 199 pounds
40 Time: N/A
Mike Renner’s player comparison: Brandon Aiyuk
Nabers had respectable production as a freshman while competing with Trey Palmer, Kayshon Boutte, and Brian Thomas Jr. for targets, but he took a major step forward as a sophomore with a 27% share of LSU’s receiving yards. Then, he took another huge leap as a junior, posting a massive 34% Dominator Rating (a metric that assesses how much of a team’s total passing offense is controlled by one player) in one of the country’s best passing attacks. He averaged 17.6 yards per reception and scored 14 TDs, demonstrating an unrivaled combination of explosiveness and big-play ability. There were murmurs throughout the draft process that some teams had Nabers ahead of Marvin Harrison Jr. on their draft boards. While most scouts have him as the WR2 in this class, that’s not a reflection of his ability, as he’d be the WR1 in basically any other year. Nabers looks poised to make an immediate impact in the NFL. This is far from a perfect spot for Nabers, as other spots like Los Angeles and even Arizona seemed somewhat possible. Landing with Daniel Jones in New York is awful for his efficiency, although he will get all the volume he can handle with Darius Slayton and Wan’Dale Robinson as his best competition for WR looks. Like MHJ, Nabers should roll to triple-digit targets, but unlike Harrison, he may struggle to post a WR1 season because of his landing spot. Still, Nabers is a fantasy WR2 off the bat on volume and talent alone.
TRADE CALCULATOR
ROOKIE PROFILES
The key to winning your draft is finding value where others don't. Draft Kit Pro comes with ETR's list of favorite late round RB targets, cheap auction values, busts, sleepers, and other fliers so you can build a super team.
On top of that, we have profiles and comps for all relevant rookies, so even if you're not into college ball, you can head into your dynasty draft with a scouting prospect and player outlooks.
Sure, we all know youth is important to dynasty, but how important? We put real numbers behind this stuff, looking at variables like age, position, and player profile, to get expected value for each player. You can use this to dominate your start up draft if you're just beginning, or make trades in existing leagues.
We built an adjustable trade calculator based on these inputs to help you understand which moves to make (or not make).
